Oval, chased with horizontal reeding and enamelled in translucent blue on finely chased pattern featuring on the cover an architectural view with flower sprays with a demi-lune reserve on either side, the rim chased with a band of entrelacs, on the sides, trophies within laurel garlands, on the underside a large flowerhead between two demi-lune reserves centred by flower spray, marked in cover, base and sides with charge, date-letter (A) and maker; on flange: décharge and later French control marks, and engraved with workshop number 257
