This is a well-appointed example of BMW's beloved /5 series, which is currently fitted with the desirable larger-capacity five-gallon gas tank and solo seat. In current ownership, the bike was upgraded with a 900 cc top end sourced from a BMW R90/6, mated to Mikuni carburetors. The original top end and carburetors accompany the sale, as does an original bench seat and smaller BMW "toaster" tank that was also an option for the /5. A set of rare, period-produced Twelfth Dimension side cases are also fitted to the bike, making this an appealing example of one of the finest models of the classic air-cooled BMW era.
