A rare early 1870's Spharistikè-style racket manufactured by Henry Malings of Frances Street, Woolwich, England, with light ash frame, asymmetrical head, original gut strings with real tennis gauge, lop-sided walnut convex wedge and remnants of original sheepskin grip (strings distressed causing slight distortion to head, handle a little wormed, sheepskin grip worn).
