Provenance
According to information supplied by the vendor, Miss Murdoch was the daughter of William Lloyd Murdoch (1854-1911) who not only captained Australia on the tours of 1880, 1882, 1884 and 1890, but also led Sussex from 1893 to 1899. The original signatures are thought to have been collected during his captaincy of Sussex and then embroidered by his daughter.
