of wicket-keeping gloves given to Keith Andrew by W.A. Oldfield, with labels: "Worlds Record Test Model" and "Recommended by Wally Grout. Aust. XI. Len Maddocks. Aust. XI. Gil Langley. Aust XI. Australian Wicket Keepers," the backs signed and inscribed: "Keith Andrew. 1st Test England v. West Indies, 1963" and "Keith Andrew. 1st Test England v. West Indies 1963. Last Gents v. Players. 1962."

These gloves were given to Keith Andrew by the Australian keeper, Bert Oldfield, and used for 10 years in first class county cricket, as well a Test match in 1963. In 1962, in the match between Northants and Lancs, Andrew equalled the then England record with these gloves by taking 7 catches in an innings at Old Trafford (the gloves are illustrated on the back of our catalogue).
