A pair of tapering cylindrical vases with everted necks and pierced scrolling handles, painted and gilt with shaped panels of ladies at leisure on riverbanks, warriors and sages on grounds of geometric designs below bands of lappets and stylised leaves to the shoulders -- 8½in. (21.5cm) high, signed Satsuma Gyokusen, (handles restored).
