An Imperial Satsuma octagonal koro and pierced metal cover painted and gilt with a multitude of chrysanthemums issuing from rockwork, the shoulder with with roundels of foaming waves and dragons, the cover decorated with scattered kiku heads -- 7in (18cm) high, signed Dai Nippon Satsuma yaki Tawara koseki no ga.
