Lot Essay

Jérome Bonaparte (1784-1860), King of Westphalia, brother of Napoleon. He served in the navy from 1800-02 and was given a high military command by Napoleon in the Prussian campaign of 1806. He was sovereign of Westphalia from July 1807 to October 1813, marrying Princess Catherine of Wurttemberg in August 1807
