A large late Ming blue and white jar painted with shaped panels of butterlies among peonies and lotus flowers issuing from a stream, the shoulder with smaller panels of peach sprays, all on a ground of ruyi heads, stiff leaves, scrolling foliage and geometric designs -- 17in.
