A George III mahogany striking bracket clock
the case with brass handle to the bell top and pineapple finials to the angles, glazed panels to the sides with circular sound frets above, on brass bracket feet, foliate cast quarter frets to the front door, the brass dial with silvered chapter ring and matted centre with silvered plaque signed James Warne London, subsidiary date aperture and mock pendulum aperture (lacking pendulum), foliate spandrels, with subsidiary strike/silent ring in the arch, the twin gut fusee movement now converted to anchor escapement, the backplate engraved with a chinoiserie gazebo and scrolls -- 19¾in. (50cm.) high
