the hood with foliate-capped swan-neck pediment with simulated verre eglomisé panels below, outset brass-capped fluted columns flanking the door, with wavy top trunk door flanked by fluted three-quarter pilasters, on block plinth with shaped panel and bracket feet, the brass dial with painted rolling moon in the arch, mask and foliate spandrels, signed on the chapter ring Jn.o Stanyer NANTWICH, with engraving to the centre with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, the four pilar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 82½in. (210cm.) high
