A Chinese blue and white bowl paintedto the interior with foaming waves, the exterior with a continuous scene of a phoenix and writhing dragon chasing flaming pearls among cloud scrolls -- 7¾in. (19.6cm) diam, six character mark; and another bowl with dignitaries and ladies before a walled pavilion in a fenced garden of plantain, willow and rockwork, the interior with a further figure -- 6¼in. (16cm) diam, both 17th century, (both cracked).
