Lot Essay

The floating weight of the reproducer (No.87917) is designed for two limit-screws rather than the normal one; additionally there are two threaded holes of uncertain purpose, and the stylus bar now fitted is that of an Automatic rather than of the Standard Speaker more likely to be found on an early Standard.

There is a retailer's label on the inside of the base for Blackbee's Pianos, Boscombe.
