A Chinese tilemakers' figure of a lohan painted in blue, cream and aubergineglazes, the figure wearing long robes tied at the waist with a cord, his hands held to his face, standing on a pedestal base decorated with bands of lappets -- 18¾in. (47.5cm) high, probably Ming Dynasty, (one finger missing, slight glaze chips).
