A finely engineered twin cylinder horizontal mill engine built by B.F. Carter with wood lagged cylinders 1in. bore x 2in. stroke, floor mounted pedestal type regulator valve, double bar type crosshead guides with oil grooves, barrelled connecting rods, webbed cranks, rope driven govenor and centrally mounted spoked flywheel with multi-rope grooves, finished in black, buff and polished brightwork and mounted on a simulated brick plinth with black and white tiled floor with brass hand rails and wood base -- 8 x 17¼in. (20.2 x 43.8cm.)
