A finely engineered model of Benson's overcrank stationary engine of circa 1860 built by A. Mount with cylinder 5/8in. bore x 1 1/8in. stroke with inward facing valve chest, forked connecting rod with cottered, strapped and wedged big and little ends, studded stuffing boxes, the crankshaft supported on a central column with spiral bevel gear driven Watt type governor, linkage and valve, rod driven floor mounted feed pump and spoked flywheel on a cast bed of three concentric circle design, finished in maroon and polished brightwork on turned mahogany base -- 10¾ x 7in. (27.3 x 17.8cm.)
