A finely engineered approx 1/12 scale model of a Tuxford Double Side Rod single vertical cylinder stationary engine, built by A. Mount, with cylinder 7/8in. bore x 2in. stroke, inner and outer side rods running in slipper type guides, the outer barrelled with marine type big and little ends, over type crankshaft with entablature mounted pedestal bearings and in turn supported on four doric columns with eccentric and rocking lever operated slide valve and vertical feed pump, spoked belt pulley and spoked flywheel, all mounted on a fabricated bed and mahogany base with main stop valve, finished in brown and polished brightwork -- 12¼ x 8½in. (31.2 x 21.6cm.)
