An exhibition standard 1½in. scale model of the Allchin single cylinder four shaft, two speed General Purpose Traction Engine Regn No NU 7483 'Royal Chester' built by E. Baynes with brazed copper boiler with fittings including water gauge with glass protector and shut-off cocks, pressure gauge, safety, blower, injector, water lift, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinder 1in. bore x 1½in. stroke, trunk type crosshead guide, footplate controlled draincocks, mechanical lubricator, Stevensons's link reverse, bolted wedged big end, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, belt driven govenor and valve, two road speeds and spoked flywheel. Chassis details include spoked straked wheels, with worm and roller chain steering, spud pan, leaf sprung front axle, footplate controlled damper, cable drum, cable and fairleads, band brake to third shaft, water lift and suction pipe with rose, injector, wooden foot board with tool box and padlock, chequer plate steps, lamps and other details.
