of inverted bell shape, on a rising circular foot later-chased with a rocaille frieze and with a moulded body band and rim and two leaf-capped double scroll handles, later-chased with rococo flowers, fruit, foliage and C-scrolls and with two cartouches, one engraved with a crest, the other with an unknown device, the similarly later-chased domed cover with foliate baluster finial, Thomas Cooke and Richard Gurney, London 1755, the cover, with makers' initials only struck three times - 9¾in. (22.25cm.), 35.75oz.
