An early 19th-Century mahogany domestic medicine chest,
divided into two sections, hinged and opening to reveal two compartments of five bottles behind walnut slides, with simulated draw-pulls, each side with five additional smaller drawers, some containing specimens, and two lower wide drawers, one containing eight bottles with sealing-wax-covered corks embossed and Brson 178 Tooley Street Boro Chemists & Co., the companion drawer with nine smaller bottles, marble mortar and hardwood pestle, each section with 'poison' compartment to the rear, containing five slender and four larger bottles, with two brass carrying handles and iron lock -- 11¼in. (28.5cm.) high
