of tapering circular form and on a flaring foot, with a rising curved spout with hinged cover, replacement scroll handle and domed hinged cover with scroll thumb piece and hinged baluster finial, each side engraved with a different monogram, the underside scratch-engraved with initials, the marks partially-covered by the altered handle, London 1716, the handle bearing later hallmarks - 9½in. (24.25cm.), 25.75oz.
