A mahogany eight day long case clock
the rectangular flat topped hood with blind fret frieze and glazed apertures to the sides, with barley twist pilasters with brass caps to the four angles, the arched brass dial with silvered Roman and Arbic chpater ring enclosing an engraved centre with recessed silvered seconds ring and date aperture, the dial signed James Kirkland, GLASGOW, below a painted moon phase with lunar dial, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and bell strike, the trunk with conforming pilasters on plain plinth, with turned feet, adapted -- 78½in. (199.5cm)
