A late 18th Century navette shaped mourning brooch, the sepia miniature depicting a lady seated by a pearl set sarcophagus with flaming heart above, holding a pendant mirror, the cherub with wreath of eternity, and with doves of peace at her feet, within a foiled garnet and half pearl twin row border, the reverse with curved pin and suspension loop, circa 1790.
