A carved horn brooch, the oval panel worked in deep relief and depicting an Oriental scene, the foreground figures against a background of trees and buildings, the gold mount with wirework decoration and graduated flexible fringe, with two small similarly carved and mounted panels later adapted as earrings, circa 1860, (damage to one figure in brooch, one small panel mounted the wrong way up and both fringes deficient).
