A Hellenistic core-formed glass alabastron, the tapering body with conical base, the cylindrical neck with thick horizontal tooled rim, twin lug handles applied at the shoulder, the body decorated with opaque white and yellow marvered feathering with spiralling trails above and below, the whole with silver iridescence -- 4¾in. (12cm.) high, 2nd/mid 1st Century B.C.
