A blue glazed composition winged scarab, the wings not original to the scarab -- 5 1/8in. (13cm.) across; another, turquoise glazed -- 3¼in. (8.3cm.) across; a pair of cream glazed wings with naturalistic incised details, attached to later Egyptian style scarab -- 4 1/8in. (10.5cm.) across; and three separate right wings, each with incised naturalistic feathered details, blue, green and dark grey glaze -- 2½in. (6.3cm.) long, Late Period-Ptolemaic, 7th-1st Century B.C. Formerly in the Bouvier collection, formed by the French and Swiss Consul in Alexandria in the early 1960's and presented as a gift to the present owner.
