A Staunton boxwood and ebony unweighted chess set, first quarter of the 20th century, both Kings stamped JAQUES LONDON to the rim, king 4in. (10cm.), pawn 2¼in. (5.5cm.) high, in original mahogany green baize lined box, the hinged cover with green Staunton label printed: "J. Jaques & Son. Ltd. London, England.;" and a parquetry board with rim. With a foreign-made chess clock with clockwork mechanism, cased in oak, registration number 10502 J. (small crack to case). (3)
