Kirkpatrick writes: "A few copies have a line-block by J. D. Fergusson [in several states] ... Though these copies with the line-blocks are the first state, it is clear from Leonard Woolf's reply of 27 July 1929 to a query from Stanford University concerning such copies that no priority of publication may be assumed."
