A Japanese export lacquer rectangular jewellery box and hinged cover decorated in nashiji and sprinkled aogai with an oval cartouche of pavilions in a pine strewn river landscape among ho-o and scattered flowersprays, the interior in scattered nashiji -- 14¾in. (37.5cm) wide; and another export lacquer jewellery box with a further river landscape cartouche to the cover, the interior inscribed in gilt with the name 'OLIVIA' -- 14¾in. (37.5cm) wide, both 18th Century, (old wear and chips).
