decorated to the sheath in hiramakie and scattered kirigane with prunus and chrysanthemums, the inro in togidashi with broken panels of flowerhead motifs, the interior in nashiji -- 3¼.in (8.3cm) long, (old wear, minute chips); and a Shibayama style ivory paper knife decorated in gold lacquer and inlaid in mother-of-pearl, horn and stained ivory with birds and insects among maple and lotus, the handle carved with a badger, an eagle and a frog -- 14.in (35.5cm) long, (age cracks and old wear).
