A set of thirteen Cantonese plates painted and gilt with central scenes of officials, ladies and attendants dancing, reading, in conversation and at other leisurely activities before pavilions in fenced rocky gardens, all within borders of exotic birds amongst dense flowers and foliage -- 9¾in. (24.5cm) diam, (one cracked, two with minor rim chips, one with enamel flaking).
