A Victorian four-piece tea service
of part-fluted compressed globular form and on beaded rising circular bases, each engraved with paterae, stylised foliage and strapwork and with vacant cartouches, with beaded scroll handles, the coffee pot and teapot with rising curved spouts and hinged covers with pine cone finials, the milk jug and sugar basin gilt-lined, James Dixon & Son, Sheffield 1876, in a plush-lined oak carrying case, the hinged cover with a vacant brass cartouche - height of coffee pot 9¾in. (24.75cm.), 79.25oz.
