polished steel, twin curved tynes with baluster shaft, scimitar-shaped blade with rounded tip and cutler's mark of HOW with the dagger of the London Cutlers' Company, the polygonal faceted tapering hafts (one cracked) with incised scalloped ferrules, early 18th century, the knife -- 8 3/8in. (21.3cm) long, overall; and another knife and fork, agate hafts, silver blade, tynes and ferrules, possibly from a set of twelve or more, circa 1750, the knife -- 8 3/8in. (21.3cm) long
