A well presented display model of the Royal Yacht 'Caroline' of circa 1749, built by M. Beard with bound masts, yards, standing and running rigging, royal female figurehead, hair rails, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, belaying rails and pins, bitts, deck rings, deck rails, companionways, gratings, capstan, saloon with glazed windows, well deck guns in carriages, deck lights, tiller and barge in chocks with bottom boards, thwarts and oars. The fully planked hull has glazed stern and quarter windows and is finished in white with blue and 'gilded' decoration with venetian red bulwarks and mounted on two turned wood columns -- 25½ x 35in.
