An unusual wood and metal sailing model of the barque 'Ariel' with masts, rigging, stitched linen sails, whisker booms, capstan, windlass, hatches, deckhouses, companionways, helm, two ship's boats (one missing), the hull, of sandwich construction with weighted keel and rudder is finished in grey, black, yellow and varnish -- 30½ x 54in.
