An early 20th Century waterline model of the steam/sail passenger/cargo ship 'Balcombe' with masts, yards, standing and running rigging, furled sails, anchors (one decayed), anchor davits, winch, deck rails, companionways, deck winches, hatches, open bridge with helm and binnacle under, stayed funnel belching cotton wool smoke, ventilators, engine room lights, aft saloon, four ship's boats with thwarts in davits and various members of the crew, finished in pink, white, black and varnish and mounted on a painted paper seascape against a painted background with other similar ships (later) in a glazed case for wall hanging (some restoration) -- 16¼ x 33in.
