The Danish armed lugger Le Revanant, owned by the merchant I.P. Jensen, was a privateer operating under a Letter of Marque dated 3 April 1810. In the three month period May-July 1810, she took four prizes [two Swedish and two American] including the American full-rigger Devotion. It is recorded that Devotion's master Captain George Miller [or Muller] attempted to avoid capture by means of a false logbook but to no avail; his cargo was declared to be contraband and his vessel was seized and sold as a legitimate prize of war.
