The iron screw steamer Dagmar was built for the Anglo-Danish Steamship Company by Andrew Leslie of Newcastle in 1866. Registered in London at 653 tons, she measured 210½ feet in length with a 28 foot beam, and operated out of Newcastle on the Baltic trade.
