of rounded oblong form and on shell and scrolling foliate feet, applied with a gadroon, shell, floral and flower head border and engraved with armorials with crests above, fitted with two fluted square glass inkwells, the gadrooned covers inset with medallions, the centre with a further pot, the cover formed as a gadrooned taperstick with scrolling foliate handle and conical snuffer, Joseph Angell, London 1827 - 9½in.
