the case with brass handle to the breakarch top, arched fishscale sound frets to the sides, on brass ball feet, the dial with strike/silent ring in the arch, grotesque mask and foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring, the matted centre with silvered plaque signed Wm. Harris LONDON, with date aperture below and mock pendulum above, the twin chain fusee movement now with anchor escapement and strike on bell, pull quarter repeat on six bells, the backplate with pendulum holdfast and elaborately engraved with foliate scrolls, fruiting baskets and cornucopia -- 15¼in. (39cm.) high
