the case with breakarch hood with brass ball and spire finials and outset fluted columns, crossbanding and boxwood line inlay to the trunk door with geometric arch top, flanked by brass-capped three-quarter pilasters, on block plinth, the brass dial with silvered plaque in the arch signed Robert Cornish DARTFORD between dolphin spandrels, mask and foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring with matted centre, subsidiary seconds ring, date aperture and engraving of ho-ho birds, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; cheekboards replaced, possibly associated -- 80¼in. (204cm.) high
