A Mortlake stoneware silver mounted tankard applied with a rectangular pad moulded in relief with a punch party above applied relief moulds of a stag, the silver rim mount inscribed Gage d' Amitiè(sic), the hinged domed cover with a pierced scallop shell thumb piece and engraved with a coat-of-arms inscribed SEMPER VIGILANS, the cover assayed for London 1806, maker's mark I.H (two long cracks to the interior) -- 25cm. high
