Approx. 130 photographs, salt and albumen prints, approx. ninety carte-de-visite-size, the remainder various sizes to 7¼ x 10¼ in., variously mounted (several part-pages removed), the majority with ink manuscript captions, half brown morocco with label of C.E. Clifford on front paste-down, inscribed in a later hand Mary ....(deleted) Oakeley's book (nee Russell), initialled M.O. in gilt on front cover, 4to.

A large quantity of carte-de-visite portraits, the majority of which are by Disdéri; nine larger portraits including Mr. and Mrs. Allgood, Mr. John Bridgeman (initialled L.B.C.), Charles Kean by Maull & Polyblank, Lord John Manners, Lord Stanley and the Bishop of Oxford; three studies of horses including "Mr. Rorey & Cruiser" by Caldesi & Montecchi; a salt print still life of saddlery; one tree study; six views relating to the Royal Engineers at Chatham and a river scene with derelict cottage, probably also near Chatham; with a small quantity of miscellaneous mostly later photographs loosely inserted.
