designed by Eva Crofts, painted with a red breasted bird sheltering beneath trees from the sun, in shades of red, green, black and yellow, comprising: teapot and cover, milk-jug and sugar basin, cup, saucer and side plate printed factory marks, first edition 1934 (small chip to cover) -- teapot 13cm. high

Eva Crofts was one of the second series of artists invited to contribute designs to the prestigious Artists in Industry design project which Clarice supervised. Her best known contribution was 'Field Flowers', a second design featured a couple dressed in folk clothing taking tea. This third, rarer design shows a red-breasted bird in a sunny landscape
