An exeptionally rare 2¼-inch diameter terrestrial globe, made up of twelve coloured engraved paper gores, Europe coloured red, north and south America with green border, Africa and Madagascar with grey-blue border, Asia coloured yellow, Australasia, New Zealand with orange-red border, the antarctic with few discoveries recorded (some minor surface abrasions), with brass axis pin, with a printed horizon ring incoporating a zodiac and calendar scale delicately coloured and fitted in a simulated leather covered card drum case, the lid with pictorial label depicting a family group seated at a table studying globes, with a wall chart behind, the underside with original C. Abel-Klinger price label, the drum case 3½-inch (8.9cm.) diameter, 2¾-inch (7cm.) high.
