A Shibayama style wood tonkotsu
inlaid in mother-of-pearl, horn, bone and lacquer and carved all over with numerous monkeys playing among fruiting peach branches and insects in flight, the eyes inlaid in horn -- 3½.in (8.9cm) high, (minor inlay missing, two small areas of damage to top); attached wood netsuke of a seated monkey, horn inlaid eyes -- 1¼.in (3.2cm) high; and another wood netsuke of The Three Wise Monkeys seated back to back -- 1¾.in (4.5cm) high.
