A gold lacquer four-case inro
decorated in hiramakie, nashiji and kirigane with a temple and other buildings in a mountainous river landscape, the interior in nashiji -- 2½.in (6.4cm) long, (rubbing); attached foliate ivory ojime; and wood netsuke of an abalone shell -- 1½.in (3.8cm) long; and a wood two-case inro carved with a seated Hotei and boy attendant beside a fan and sack, the reverse with three further boys, on a cell-pattern ground, attached ojime -- 3¼.in (8.3cm) long.
