A Chinese silver presentation tapering stand
with everted simulated bamboo rim, above birds among fruiting vine and floral branches issuing from a domed circular base decorated with running bands of further foliage -- 9¾.in (24.8cm) high, inscribed to the foot "Die Deutsche Compagnie, S.V., ihrem ausscheidenden Compagniechef, Herrn Liutenant Haupt. Shanghai, im Dezember 1894", stamped marks.
