A pair of Chinese export plates painted in underglaze blue, iron red and gilt with birds among bamboo and peonies issuing from rockwork within scrolling floral and spearhead borders -- 14in. (35.5cm) diam, (one with hairline rim crack, rim nibbles); and another larger similarly decorated -- 14¾in. (37.5cm) diam, all 18th century.
