Lot Essay

The space-jockey plays an important part at the beginning of the film where the search party from Nostromo ship discover the remains of a non-human pilot on a deserted ship. During the search, Kane (John Hurt) picks up a face-hugger when investigating the hold beneath the jockey's chamber.
